The Community Garden serves as an educational and practical mutual aid experience for the Tupelo area. Volunteers support themselves and their community by learning to grow their own food. Individuals work together to research and share information about plant selection, growing conditions, disease and pests prevention, harvesting, and much more. The fresh fruits and vegetables produced by the garden addresses local food scarcity by feeding community members and garden volunteers. The Community Garden is funded entirely through grants, personal donations, and volunteer labor.
